We are an ISO 13485:2016 certified, and FDA registered medical device manufacturer that specializes in assisting customers in development of injection molded components, subassemblies and fully packaged medical devices. Taurus is a full-service contract manufacturer and can manage your project through sterilization if required.
Taurus Engineering operates 24 hours per day/5 days per week in a 33,000 Sq. Ft. facility located in St. Paul, Minnesota. We have 19 presses ranging from 28 to 350 ton presses. And we do both molding and assembly in our class 7 certified clean room.
In December of 2022, Taurus Engineering purchased Vision Mold & Engineering, a design and injection mold building company. The company will be a wholly owned subsidiary of Taurus Engineering will operate to expedite all our in-house mold needs. This addition fully rounds out our capabilities and commitment to our customers to provide the highest level of service, support, components, assemblies and final products.

Taurus Engineering President, John Philipsen has over 35 years of experience in the plastic injection molding arena, over 20 years in the highly regulated medical markets, producing production tooling as well as quick turn prototype tooling, along with component manufacturing. With John’s experience and knowledge, he has brought the strengths of premier molders while being able to structure the company to service customers, build quality into the tooling/ manufacturing process, and operate lean to offer a very competitive total overall cost.
